If you've read the first two books in the Newsflesh trilogy (Feed and Deadline -- and Blackout is due out next week or so!), you should go read the alternate ending Mira Grant (Seanan McGuire) wrote for Feed.

She called it Fed, and says, "I'm very pleased with it, in part because it shows that no, the original ending wasn't the worst possible outcome. This was."

Fed is currently set up as a Facebook exclusive for Orbit, but if I understood correctly will be released to the general public in a week.

Here's her post on the subject, and here's the link to the Facebook page with Fed.

When will you rise?

Actually was re-reading Feed when she posted that. Strange to read both the real and alternate endings at the same time. Now re-reading Deadline. Speaking of which, can I steal the icon? I'll attribute it to the correct person.

I made the icon originally, and you are welcome to it.

Well, isn't it a small world? Thanks, Kiri!

Ha! I didn't even notice who posted the comment at first. You're quite welcome. :D

Yes, read it shortly after she posted the link.

Eagerly awaiting Blackout. And *very* glad we have strong anti-mosquito measures here. :-)

Um... any book that can have an argument over whether or not the ending was the worst possible, I'm going to avoid at all costs.

I read to escape anger, misery and sadness, not to add to it.
