I had sex before I was married. Many times. With several different people. I used birth control every single time. And I'm not sorry for any of it; this is perfectly normal behavior. [added by me] Being asexual or choosing not to have sex outside marriage is also perfectly reasonable, but less common.
[also added by me] I have had sex since I was married. Many times. With more than one person (with full knowledge and consent of all parties), although not at the same time. I used birth control every single time. And I'm not sorry for any of it; this is perfectly reasonable behavior if you happen to be wired for or open to polyamory or swinging. (I'm much closer to the poly end of the range than the swinger end, but that's just me.)
[returning to the original] Any politician who voices the slightest problem with this will not be getting my vote, my money, or my effort. Voting for someone who holds you up to public contempt is self destructive.

I do, however, believe that asexuality, and polyamory are part of the normal human sexuality scale, and do not believe you *must* have sex (or be monogamous) to be normal.
And thank you for passing on the meme.

However, while agreeing with all of it in principle, I can't say that I won't vote for a politician who voices problems with any of it. Specifically, I will likely find it necessary to vote for politicians who object to polyamory, in order to do my part in preventing the election of someone much worse.
(I can't think of any politicians who would publicly support polyamory. We have a long, long way to go on that.)
